20yrs Old Boy Who R@ped And Killed 4yrs Old Girl Sentence To 21yrs Imprisonment in Edo

A High Court sitting in Auchi, Edo State, has sentenced a 20-year-old man, Sufiyan Ahmed, to 21 years imprisonment for saxually assaulting and killing a four-year-old girl.

The convict raped and killed the victim, identified as Umuaiman Suleman, for money ritual purposes, on April 21, 2019 in Ososo, Akoko-Edo LGA of the state.

The convict, who was sentenced on Friday, April 8, had been arraigned earlier on a two-count charge of murder and saxual assault.

Delivering the judgment, Justice Philip Imoedemhe said that all the evidences tendered in court had convinced the court beyond reasonable doubt that the accused was guilty of the offence.

“The evidence before me shows the defendant is guilty as charged and convicted to 21 years in prison,” ordering that the convict be taken to the Auchi correctional center to serve his jail term.
