The African Cup of Nations is the biggest tournament in Africa, it is a passionate competition that unites many people of African descent around the world and every participant wants to win it.
On the AFCON program on SuperSports, Master Plan, former footballers sat to analyze the competition so far and one of them is former Ghanaian captain, Asamoah Gyan who scored over 50 goals for the Black Stars.
No doubt, he is supporting Ghana, just like everyone is supporting their countries, but Ghana didn’t impress him in their first game which they lost to Morocco 1-0. He pointed out that the Black Stars started the tournament slowly, but Nigeria is different.
He said Nigeria went all out to win against an Egyptian side with many quality players. To him, Nigeria is the team that has impressed him the most, and they could go on to win the competition if they continue playing in that manner.
